Unite Us is seeking a self-driven, experienced Senior Director of Engineering to lead our efforts in building and maintaining the cases workflow system. This system is at the heart of the Unite Us closed loop referral platform. As a leader in the Technology team, you will be a critical bridge between the strategic decisions being made by company leadership and turning that vision and intention into a releasable and valuable product. You will help set the architectural direction for the broader organization and ensure that our technical designs and decisions are properly evaluated in line with the product goals and roadmap. In order to accomplish these tasks, you will need to cultivate a dynamic, ever-learning team culture that seeks to create value for customers in a continuous manner. What's Required:

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in delivering high-quality software solutions.
• 5+ years of direct management experience with product-focused engineering teams.
• 2+ years experience leading leaders
• Expertise in people leadership, technical, operational change management.
• Significant Agile experience.
• Focus on technical simplicity. 
• Deeply versed in modern web technologies. 
• Experience with and commitment to automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure.
• Open, communicative and like working in small teams. 
• Fluent in speaking and writing English. 
• Passion for high quality.

Pluses: 

• Experience with designing applications for the cloud, extra points for Amazon Web Services (AWS). 
• Experience building RESTful APIs.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:

• This position location is remote, US based
• Target range: $215,000-240,000. This salary range represents our national target range for this role. Some geographic areas may have higher target ranges.
