Your role

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Director of Marketing to lead our demand generation and B2B2C success. At Higher Ground Education, we’re out to dramatically expand the reach and scope of the work we’re doing––to elevate education around the world to new heights––and the Senior Director of Marketing will play a crucial role in ensuring we achieve our mission. Responsibilities:

  • Lead Higher Ground Education’s enrollment marketing strategy and process
  • Identify, plan, and lead execution on effective B2C, B2B, and B2B2C marketing strategies for Higher Ground’s multiple products
  • Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and drive enrollment at schools
  • Ability to solve really tough problems that don’t have clear solutions
  • Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems (marketing automation, CRM, SEO) used to generate, distribute, and report on leads
  • Develop and grow a high performing, metrics-driven, customer acquisition organization made up of campaign management, digital marketing, partner marketing and marketing operations
  • This person will also oversee strategy for SEO, SEM, re-targeting and other paid media initiatives; demand generation; PR; events; campaign optimization; social channels; digital analytics; and content marketing
  • Interpretation of market data for short- and long-term market forecasts and reports
  • Continuously evaluate the performance of campaigns, adjusting demand tactics and strategy accordingly
  • Optimize targeting, creative, media and budget allocation to maximize effectiveness


Experience and qualifications:

  • Authority in B2B2C demand generation with 15+ years of experience in marketing in fast-paced technology companies.
  • Proven experience in enrollment marketing for the education segment
  • 15+ years of leadership experience in a field, demand gen, digital or campaign marketing role
  • Marketing automation, lead conversion, nurturing programs and marketing analytics
  • Proven experience scaling demand generation programs through technology, data and process
  • Ability to identify opportunities to maximize demand creation, pipeline contribution, and sales opportunity acceleration
  • A bachelor's degree is required. MBA or related advanced degree would be preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing and business leadership as well as managing, mentoring, and recruiting marketing talent
  • Ability to communicate advanced technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Executive-level interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate; effectively working across multiple levels, roles, and functions in the organization
  • Big picture thinker with meticulous attention to detail
