This model aligns incentives between the education provider, learner, and employer, where everyone wins when the learner, who is typically a working adult from an underrepresented background, gets hired.
Example programs include Data Science for All, a masters-level data science bootcamp for individuals from historically underrepresented groups, and Amazon Career Choice, an analytics training program for frontline warehouse workers.
Our model is not just more equitable, but it is also inherently more scalable than traditional education providers. Each program is taught by industry leaders, professors and teaching assistants, delivered virtually to cohort-based learning communities. We currently run programs for 5,000+ learners each year in 10+ countries, and we plan to grow 5-10x in the next two years.
Our clients include over 50 blue-chip companies, such as Amazon, Citadel, Accenture, Target, EY, BlackRock, and Johnson & Johnson. These organizations work with us to train their own employees, to recruit program graduates, and to proactively invest in talent from traditionally underrepresented communities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Director of Marketing will develop and activate our market-facing identity for both B2B and B2C audiences. This person will build and manage a small team of marketing professionals who can execute strategies that align with business objectives, including brand identity and voice, digital assets, content marketing, product marketing, and campaigns.Β
The ideal candidate will be an experienced b2b marketer with creative strategies for driving market awareness and activation, and a clear grasp of how to frame our solutions and products vs competitors.Β Β
This person will join a stellar team as a senior leader and will be expected to develop and manage a group of world-class marketing professionals.Β This role is equal parts hands-on work and driving a lean team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with executive leaders to define our strategies for market awareness and activation
- Build our content marketing playbook, for both B2B and B2C, leveraging content contributions from our external stakeholders
- Manage our digital properties (website, social accounts), with clear strategies to grow organic, high-quality traffic and followers
- Direct our brand identity and voice, with a nuanced understanding of our position in the market and how to frame our solutions for both B2B and B2C audiences
- Define and implement key KPIs, processes, and reporting methodologies to understand and represent the marketing function
- Interface with internal teams (e.g. product, sales, and design) to build coherent and compelling collateral that represents our solutions and their value propositions
- Lead and grow a team of world-class marketing professionals
RELEVANT EXPERIENCES
- 8+ years of progressive experience in a b2b marketing function, preferably within theΒ education-technology and/or the data science sector
- Experience leading marketing/related functions: marketing programs/campaigns, digital marketing, product marketing, account-based, inbound, content marketing, corporate communications, business development, marketing operations and creative
- Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with leadership team and staff
- Strong working knowledge of modern marketing technology/digital stack - including marketing automation, CRM, attribution and more, with a defined analytical approach to manage and measure marketing efforts
- Experience developing, managing, and leading teams, and working with cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives.
