Job Overview:
This position is responsible for developing and leading the brand strategies for the consumables brands within PetIQ to enable sustainable, long-term top-line and bottom-line growth. In this role, you will work with, and will need to be able to effectively influence, a large cross-functional team, including sales, operations, media, creative, finance, legal, and category management to execute against these brand strategies. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the consumer, defining unique brand positionings for each brand, building equity through each consumer touchpoint that will drive long-term loyalty to our brands, and creating innovation pipelines to consistently meet consumer needs over time.
Leading the PetIQ consumables brand strategy through:
- Developing and championing a multi-year strategic roadmap to enable top-line and bottom-line growth
- Identifying, analyzing, and executing against consumer insights and trends
- Identifying opportunities and threats to consumables business and anticipating future market changes
- Developing marketing communications, in conjunction with the media and creative teams, to build equity and differentiate PetIQ brands vs. the competition
- Creating innovation pipelines and leading cross-functional project teams to meet in-market timing
- Functioning as the PetIQ internal point of contact on all consumables, serving as the expert on brand equity, as well as the expert on key brand issues and opportunities
- Developing and supporting delivery of consumer marketing plans, including product launches, pricing, positioning and research that aligns with business & brand strategy
- Monitoring and tracking performance by brand and retailer, reporting on net sales, profit and other metrics, assessing gaps, and recommending corrective action plans

Minimum Qualifications:
- 12+ years of marketing experience in either a CPG or healthcare product environment with a minimum of 5 years of management experience in brand or product roles.
- 5+ years of CPG marketing experience preferred, or significant experience working in a strategic marketing role.
- Demonstrated experience in P & L and budget management.
- Demonstrated mastery of core marketing principles and practices.
- Successful development of product marketing strategies and implementation of marketing plans / campaigns.
- Prior Consultant/Vendor/Agency Management experience
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, MBA preferred
