This is a very strategic and influential role within our company that will support both our core product platform and our product strategy teams. On the platform side, your work will support our next generation of products and experiences. And you'll help the product strategy team build cases for the future direction of BILL.  We are looking for a player/coach who is willing to get their hands dirty and their mind curious with the business questions in these areas. 

We’d love to chat if you have:

• A technical degree in a related field (statistics, data science, analytics)
• 15 years preferred of data science or analytics experience plus a relevant Bachelor's degree; or 10 years preferred of data science / analytics experience plus a Master's degree; or 5 years preferred of data science / analytics experience plus a PhD. 
• 5 years preferred of managing a team of analysts and data scientists.
• Prior experience, with demonstrated impact, in using data science or analytics to drive product strategy, product experiences, and product experimentation. 

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Expertise in product instrumentation and product experiment design
• Expertise in SQL and either R or Python
• Expertise in statistics and machine learning in the context of product analytics 
• Deep experience with event tracking, including instrumentation and visualization, preferably with tools like Mixpanel, Amplitude, and Pendo.
• Strong writing, presentation and communication skills and ability to easily explain complex data issues and conclusions to a variety of audiences.
• An ability to be a thought partner with business leaders.
• Able to develop a data-informed position on a topic and influence executive stakeholders.
• An unquenchable curiosity for data-driven questions.
• Experience recruiting your team, defining its mission, and leading your team members to become strong partners for your stakeholders.
• An ability to help define data strategy across organizational units and departments.
