Senior Director of Target Discovery, Computational Biology and Human Genomic Sciences
Job Description
Schrödinger's mission is to revolutionize drug discovery through the use of breakthrough computational methods. We are currently looking for outstanding individuals to join our drug discovery group and contribute to our rapidly expanding pipeline and portfolio of drug discovery collaborations.
Our drug discovery and early clinical development team includes a cross-functional group of scientists and drug developers with experience working on all common target classes and therapeutic areas. The group is supported by more than 100 software developers and engineers as well as a large-scale compute infrastructure to apply our proprietary physics-based drug design and optimization platform. Several programs we have worked on have achieved Development Candidates, including progression to clinical development and FDA approval. You can view our entire pipeline of wholly-owned programs and collaborations here.
We are looking for an accomplished, senior leader in genetics, bioinformatics and target identification to join our team of seasoned biologists, pharmacologists and computational biologists. The candidate will have a strong background in genetics and will lead a team focused on the translation of human data, including genomic and genetic information, into innovative new therapeutics by identifying and advancing drug targets that have strong evidence of a causal role in disease biology. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction and lead development of genomic, genetic, and informatic approaches to new target discovery, patient stratification, and contribute to translational biomarker identification (based on genetic information) across the discovery portfolio.
