Senior Director, People & Culture
Job Description
What we’re looking for:
The Senior Director, People & Culture serves as a member of the executive team, reports to the CEO and leads the strategic and tactical HR function. This role with the support of one direct report is responsible for establishing and implementing HR strategies that foster growth of the org and people development, as well as overseeing all HR administration such as payroll, benefits, billing, compliance, new employee onboarding and offboarding, and overseeing recruiting and special projects.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Establish and implement HR strategies that foster the growth of the organization and people development.
- Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
- Provide expertise in the following areas: career planning, performance management, coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development and recognition programs.
- Partner with leaders and managers to identify broad organizational challenges or opportunities, and build upon Superfly X’s existing culture to implement necessary structural changes required to enable the company to continue to grow.
- Demonstrate analytical capabilities and provide insightful data to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions.
- Build strong relationships within the organization in order to communicate and align HR strategy to meet business needs.
- Develop, assess, monitor and measure policies and procedures.
- Create sustainable solutions for manager, team, and individual challenges by introducing innovative and engaging coaching and mediation techniques.
- Lead organization development initiatives driving organizational effectiveness, solving problems, and improving organizational performance.
- Own the recruiting process through the entire candidate lifecycle for all positions, including coordination of resume flow, screening, diligent candidate correspondence and scheduling, interviewing, and collaborating with hiring managers
- Oversee the processing bi-monthly payroll utilizing a PEO including tracking salary increases and deductions such as health benefits, IRA contributions, life insurance, long term disability.
- Partner with PEO vendor to oversee all benefits administration, enrollment and education including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long term disability and retirement.Â
- Maintain compliance with local and federal requirements and steward employee relations consistent with these requirements.Â

- Ability to handle confidential company information and maintain absolute discretion
- Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding Title VII, discrimination, immigration, independent contractor status and FLSA
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to listen and empathize
- Strong employee relations skills
- Adaptable and accountable self-starter
Your experience:
- 8-12 years of HR experience at a growing organization
- Experience overseeing the HR function in multiple states with large hourly populationsÂ
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, interact, influence and negotiate with a variety of internal clients and external candidates at all levels
- Bachelor’s degree in a human resources, communications or related field preferred
- Technological knowledge and ease with Google Apps, Microsoft Office Suite and a keen sense of sharing information across multiple departments
