In this role, you will drive the evolution and execution of our privacy-by-design program. In doing so, you will spearhead the creation of product privacy guidelines, design review, privacy audits, risk analysis and application-level vulnerability testing across ADP products. The position analyzes software designs and implementations from a privacy and UX perspective and works to embed privacy best practices and legal requirements into all ADP products. The Senior Director Privacy-By-Design and data governance develops technical solutions to help mitigate privacy vulnerabilities and evangelize strong privacy and security design. The position works closely with software engineers, product managers, Security Architects, the rest of the Privacy team, Compliance, legal and policy teams to build new features, and work on critical efforts. It also leads our standards compliance strategy and drives our certification processes for standards like ISO 27701.
No two days are the same. You will work alongside a team of passionate, creative privacy professionals and lawyers, and work with product managers, software developers, engineers and others to address business imperatives, including product development and new data uses in light of current and evolving privacy and compliance regulations and standards. While every day is fast-moving and unpredictable, one thing is sure: people and communication skills are necessary for every aspect of this job.
To thrive in this role, you must have strong project management experience as well as a background in helping businesses comply with multi-national privacy requirements and strong technical knowledge. Ideally, you've managed data privacy risks and processes related to products and services at an enterprise level. You show initiative, try new things and learn from mistakes along the way. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

• Collaboration. You will liaise with business and development teams on a regular basis, as well as with members of the Privacy team, ensuring the implementation of a sound privacy-by-design program to better integrate privacy, security and compliance in ADP products and processes.
• Assist. As a privacy compliance expert, you will assist with compliance efforts as they relate to the development of new products and features leveraging advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
• Train. Since you have the experience and the knowledge, you will train teams on Privacy obligations as they relate to product design and development.
• Support. One of your main goals will be to support the product organization and the Privacy team in the implementation of various action plans defined by ADP to comply with the Binding Corporate Rules, the General Data Protection Regulation and any local law requirements.
• Innovate. Help drive the overall governance with the implementation of AI/ML ethics program

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

• You'll have a BA or BS degree, Computer Science preferred or an advanced degree (MA, MS, MBA) in a related field of study
• 10+ years combined privacy or security and software development experience
• You'll hold Privacy and/or Security certifications (CIPP, CISSP, CIPT and/or CISM)
• Experience with privacy/security design review of diverse products and services.
• Experience with multi-national privacy requirements in a global software development organization
• Full understanding and prior management of Software Development Life-cycle (SDLC)
• Interest in both evolutionary and breakthrough security research and development.
