This senior leadership role sits at the heart of enterprise transformation, driving operational excellence across global technology and service delivery functions. The position is responsible for shaping and scaling standardized, high-performing processes that enable efficiency, quality, and consistent user experience across the organization. It combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational improvement, ensuring alignment between business goals, transformation initiatives, and execution. Working in a highly matrixed, global environment, the role partners closely with program management, governance, and change enablement teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement. It plays a critical part in building a metrics-driven, systems-oriented operating model supported by modern excellence methodologies. The Senior Director also leads distributed teams and communities of practice, ensuring operational excellence capabilities are embedded across the enterprise. Accountabilities
- Lead enterprise-wide process and service excellence initiatives across global technology and operations functions, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and operating models.
- Simplify, standardize, and harmonize business processes and service delivery using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, A3 Thinking, Design Thinking, Agile, Systems Thinking, and ITIL-4.
- Drive continuous improvement programs to enhance scalability, cost efficiency, service quality, and end-user experience across global operations.
- Establish and oversee operational metrics, dashboards, and governance mechanisms linking performance to business outcomes and OKRs/strategic objectives.
- Lead structured problem-solving efforts for critical business issues, including CAPA, audit findings, and other operational challenges.
- Build and scale a global center of excellence and communities of practice, fostering adoption of operational excellence principles across the enterprise.
- Influence operating model decisions, transformation prioritization, and service delivery strategies in partnership with senior stakeholders.
- Manage and develop a distributed team of process excellence professionals and external consulting partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise process excellence, or 8+ years with an advanced degree, ideally within digital technology or complex global organizations.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, or financial services.
- Strong expertise in operational excellence methodologies including Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and IT service management frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategic objectives into scalable operational execution.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills across global, matrixed environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven mindset.
- Experience building high-performing teams and influencing enterprise-wide change and adoption.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, complex, and evolving organizational environments.
- Annual base salary range: $190,900 – $260,900 USD, depending on experience and location.
- Eligibility for annual bonus plans or incentive compensation depending on role classification.
