Senior Director - Product development

Role : Sr Director - Product Development Supply Chain

location : Dallas TX or Remote

Role Overview:

• Ensure cross-functional program goals are met in respect to budget, planning, quality, performance and customer satisfaction for a portfolio of programs under this role
• Provide status reporting for our Luminate Control tower segment of products to Blue Yonder's Senior Leadership Team, as well as share the progress update on various initiatives with the entire PD and other teams.
• Drive formal agile and release management best practices, as well as initiatives to track and improve upon various quality initiatives within Product Development.
• Success will depend on developing, implementing, and managing people, processes, procedures, policies and tools to ensure program goals are achieved. Ability to work with a multi-faceted, cross-functional team including Product Development, Product Management, Marketing, Partner Management, Sales, and Customer Success is a must.
• Has overall responsibility for the planning and delivery across a broad set of projects, potentially for a whole product suite. This includes all aspects of the project, from initial planning to final delivery. Manages the project teams associated with the project, including recruiting and managing resources for the project, as well as coaching and mentoring members of the team to progress on their career paths. Coordinates with key constituents outside of PD including PMG, Sales, Support, Services, and customers, and also participates in more strategic planning of project evolution in alignment with overall PD and corporate goals.

What you will do:

• Lead the vision, organization, delivery and operation of multiple products/services across multiple regions and teams.
• Works closely with executive leadership on managing budget, organizations, operations across multiple regions and teams.
• Build and grow a highly skilled, cross-functional engineering teams across the globe that deliver platforms enabling BY's Digital Transformation. Handle the professional development and career plans for those on your teams, help us develop the technology leaders of tomorrow.
• Lead platform development and sustainment; including CI/CD, source control, runtime enablement, standardization, Analytics, and more.
• Develop a vision and long-term goals for how your teams will serve our Global Technology teams in delivery to BY, plan the strategy for achieving those goals, and oversee its implementation towards the north star you set.
• Leverage your prior experience, knowledge of industry trends, and personal creativity to develop new and innovative solutions which delight our customers. • Develops and leads team OKRs/KPIs.
• Contributes to cross-team Enterprise Platforms domain-mapping and strategy.
• Ensures the technical team aligns with architectural standards, documentation and operational strategy alongside peers.
• Works closely with Product leads to understand and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmaps that are aligned with BY's overall strategies and initiatives
• Represents the customer in sprints to the delivery teams and provides sprint feature prioritization to ensure technology alignment with business priorities & strategies
• Is accountable for engineering team(s) backlog grooming across multiple engineering teams .Provides customer service to our technology and business partners for onboarding, adoption, and documentation.
• Identify and support systemic improvements to program execution through new tools, processes, policies, procedures, standardization of project lifecycle, and best practices capture/sharing to support the organization's strategic goals.
• Manage cadence of product metrics review, actions and follow up, short/long term projects to address issues and process improvements
• Prepare weekly program status reports and communicate with senior management
• Work across geographical teams to ensure timeline, quality and budget are kept in line with the program expectations.
• Innovatively identify and resolve business problems by working from the ground up and engaging senior executives
• Work with customers, field teams and program managers across partners to ensure consistent overall program delivery for Luminate Commerce product releases.

We'd like you to have

• Proven experience in managing a portfolio of SW programs in product development teams in Supply chain industry
• Proven experience in managing and training other program management professionals
• Experience in interacting with VPs and higher for planning, budgeting, and strategic discussions
• Experience in playing a CATALYST role in change management
• Thorough understanding of project/program management, continuous improvement principles, techniques and methods
• Demonstrated experience managing cross functional teams to deliver comprehensive offerings or programs to market
• Collaborative, but confident leader who can ensure support from a diverse set of internal contributors to the overall mission of building a robust, external developer community
• Technical expertise sufficient to enable thoughtful solutions to problems in the developer community context
• Strong interpersonal, team and client relationship building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly presentation experience to senior levels of management
• Ability to explain the business and technical value of a solution offering to an audience mix of technical and non-technical customer or partner representatives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, work independently and within ambiguity, produce deliverables, establish realistic goals and deadlines and manage changing priorities
• 10+ years program/product management experience
• Bachelor's degree in business or engineering related field of study
• Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence

• Understanding of enterprise security requirements associated with Azure cloud technologies.
• Proven experience collaborating on latest technologies with Engineers and Architects
