Senior Director, Product Lifecycle Management Systems
Job Description
Strategy and Leadership:
- Assess Illumina's current state and work collaboratively to drive excellence in PLM processes, systems, and performance
- Build a World Class PLM team. Lead the global PLM steering committee. Influence across the matrix to ensure high level goals and objectives are being met.
- Build a compelling 3-5 year roadmap of process/system improvements and chart a path to execute against that roadmap and vision.
- Demonstrate the ability to balance longer term strategic thinking against more tactical execution of shorter-term deliverables. • Develop and coach key talent. Lead by example and display Illumina Leadership Values.

- Define communication and development plans for the adoption of best practices.
- Provide technical guidance on approaches for novel technology, effectiveness, visualization of performance metrics, and analytical / functional testing.
- Stay current with current industry trends and technologies to keep Illumina at the forefront of managing a product enterprise - develop and nurture external relationships ensuring Illumina's approach reflects thought leadership from inside and outside the organization.
Global Oversight and Control:
- Include pertinent personnel to represent the global footprint where the PLM processes/systems are required to achieve the company strategic business plan by chairing the global steering committees and owning the related infrastructure, GIS, and procedures.
- In conjunction with company stakeholders, develop and assure proper development and execution of PLM master plans, and performance metrics at all Illumina sites
- Lead, develop, engage and mentor the organization in support of PLM processes undergoing rapid growth and changing markets.
- Responsible for budgeting and coordinating the company-wide requirements to assure a compliant, efficient and effective system.
- Assure compliance to meeting 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485, MDSAP, IVDR and other related requirements
- Establish the strategic enterprise data model for the company on the end to end flow of product information, with appropriate level of artifact representation and relationships
- Help set the strategic end to end strategy on business transformation including evolving business processes, enterprise data governance, and future of work with the organization
Subject Matter Expert:
- Serve as the company SME for PLM.
- Lead all aspects of Organizational Change Management for enterprise-wide changes to system and processes, including changing requirements, organizational changes, infrastructure changes to ensure a highly efficient and compliant outcome with broad stakeholder engagement, use and buy-in.
- Consult with the technical experts and relevant stakeholders to incorporate comprehensive risk-based approach to PLM processes including business and compliance risks.
- Actively engage and collaborate with GIS, Commercial and HR to integrate the QMS LMS Training seamlessly into the company processes.

Requirements:
- Expertise serving a role in a rapidly growing company, centered around innovation, with a proven track record of leading Change Management during a time of rapid growth and transition.
- Expert level experience in PLM requirements satisfying global regulatory bodies.
- High acumen in professional development/organizational development
