Senior Director, Product Management

SmartBear is looking for a Senior Director of Product Management to own our high growth Atlassian product line and own the long term strategy to accelerate its growth in the leading cloud marketplaces (Atlassian/AWS/Azure…).  In this role, you will be responsible for developing, communicating, and executing on the marketplace strategy providing the opportunity to drive a growing business built around established products as well as new ones. It offers the chance manage and coach a group of high potential product managers and work with a talented and passionate cross functional team to continue to maintain high growth with existing products while accelerating growth through new product innovations. Successful candidates will leverage data driven processes balance the creation of long term strategic visions while driving more immediate execution to support their strategy.  A deep understanding of Atlassian and other B2B marketplace will be critical for this role along with the ability to function at multiple levels of the organization, ranging from executive communications to hands on product management work.

As the Sr. Director of Product Management, you will:

• Manage the product management team and function for SmartBear’s current set of high growth Atlassian based products
• Build the broader marketplace vision for SmartBear along with the supporting business cases for new areas of investment
• Drive the research and analysis and business case creation for new opportunities for product expansion resulting in the creation of multiple new products over the next 1-3 years
• Engage closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering architects, marketing and sales to bring products to marketplaces in a timely manner
• Feel accountable for the end business growth and successful achievement of business outcomes as outlined in the marketplace strategy
• Work with product development counterparts to implement scalable processes across the marketplace product delivery organization to help drive predictable delivery of a roadmap to support the overall strategy
• Manage the partnership with the leading marketplace leaders to ensure alignment on technology and strategy
• Mentor high potential product leaders and growth them in the SmartBear organization

We are looking for someone who has:

• Demonstrated background in Product Management in B2B software
• Proven background successfully defining product strategy, packaging and pricing in at least one of the leading marketplaces (AWS, Atlassian, Azure)
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal and formal presentation to executives.
• Track record of driving execution to support the overall strategy
• Previous experience in managing products driving >$50M in revenue
• Experience in managing and mentoring senior level product managers and product owners
• BS degree (MS preferred)
