NHA is searching for a Senior Director of Product Management to drive the growth strategy and product roadmap development for NHA's healthcare and healthcare education markets. This position leads a team in the creation and achievement of new solutions from idea to launch to ongoing adoption, usage and profitability. Reporting to the Health Sciences Segment Leader, the ideal candidate will have a history of bringing new and impactful products and business models to market that produce measurable customer outcomes and business return on investment. This person needs to be a creative/critical thinker, a data-driven strategist, an innovator, a leader, a collaborator, and an evangelist for our customers and products.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the product strategy and development of product roadmaps and related channel initiatives that support growth and product evolution in key healthcare and healthcare education markets.
  • Identify customer needs and validate conceptual solutions through customer relationship building, establishment of customer advisory forums, and effective research strategies.
  • Guide business cases for new products and services by driving data analysis, modeling prices, forecasting product potential, and providing oversight on financial outcomes of new product.
  • Oversee the creation of business requirements for new products and enhancements to existing products by working closely with business and project teams on functional specifications and feature and function prioritization.
  • Drive overall execution of the development and launch of products and solutions business unit markets including positioning, customer benefits, and launch support materials.
  • Guide successful adoption, usage, and performance of products. Drive product maintenance and growth strategies.
  • Lead a product management team to high-performance. Drive team collaboration, process efficiencies, and individual professional development.
  • Manage department-level and project budgets
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers and technologists, data analysts, researchers, marketing, sales, operations, and service to take to market high-value solutions.
  • Contribute to market and financial objectives including revenue generation, profitability realization, market penetration, and market share goal attainment.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ Years in Product Management, Product Development or related field
  • Experience in high-tech, healthcare education solutions business preferred
  • Experience with product management processes such as Pragmatic Marketing preferred
  • Experience with Agile methodologies preferred


Skills and Abilities:

  • Expertise in researching and developing strong insights for the customer segments and the industry in which they work and understands the dynamics of education and healthcare markets
  • Familiarity with the current technologies and content development in education markets, and with the emerging technologies that will serve them in the future
  • Fluent in software product development, including quality and reliability techniques
  • Superior business and data analysis acumen
  • Boldness to create and shape markets whenever possible, exploiting Company technologies, market positions and brand
  • Ability to synthesize market and customer feedback and existing and new products into solutions
  • Expertise delivering complex projects to meet demanding feature, cost, quality and introduction date targets
  • Demonstrable communication skills and ability to lead an organization to develop market leading products and solutions
  • Experience bringing new products successfully to market
  • Proven communication skills and ability to influence colleagues
  • Travel required around 20%


This position requires that the employee be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unlessan exemptionhas been granted by Ascend Learning for a religious, health-related or other legally-mandated reason, which will be considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable law.
