The Role

The Senior Director of Product Marketing, reporting to the Chief Product Officer, is a critical leadership position focused on communicating Fusion's vision & differentiated story to the marketplace. This leader will be responsible for working cross-functionally, with a team of Product Marketers, to:

1. Know the Market, its buyers, and our clients – A key stakeholder in building Fusions market strategy, this leader will own working with our sellers, partners & clients to identify opportunities to improve in our strategy.

2. Support the Buyer & Seller Journey – Execute, through ownership of Product Launch, on our product strategy. Delivering the materials to support & enable marketing, our field & partners to deliver a consistent and differentiated value proposition.

3. Value Creation – Work closely with Marketing to influence lead generation and integrated campaigns. This includes providing thought-leadership content, analyst relations and alignment of Fusion's message in the market to generate interest in our offerings

The Senior Director of Product Marketing plays a key role in company success by ensuring that marketing, prospect, customer and partner sales, and account growth teams are enabled to be maximally successful in selling Fusion solutions. This is achieved by working cross-functionally to perform research that identifies market opportunities, defining new messaging and product offerings, enabling internal demand generation and sales teams with collateral, tools, competitive analysis, and other tactics that move more prospects into the Fusion funnel, accelerating deal cycles, increasing win rates, and growing customer adoption.

  • Generating leads by working with Marketing and Demand Gen teams
  • Plan and deliver thought leadership to assist in research and promoting the Fusion value proposition.

Deliver on our Messaging

  • Create content that will support sales and marketing in buyer journey, including: print collateral, web content, social media content, presentation materials, video content
  • Messaging to Market Analysts & Drive Briefings
  • Fusion Value Selling pitch decks
  • Contribute product messaging to Marketing efforts including advertisements, webcasts, websites, email campaigns, and tradeshows
  • Plan and deliver thought leadership to assist in research and promoting the Fusion value proposition.
  • Work with Product and Solution Managers to document use cases and convert into sales enabling content.
  • Measure success of various product marketing collateral and programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • A minimum 10 years of experience total, preferably in a software or technology related company
  • A minimum 7 years of leadership experience in a product marketing/product management role working directly with cross-functional teams on software product and/or SaaS development teams
  • Demonstrated product marketing messaging and collateral creation experience by sharing a portfolio of related work products
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; data-driven and results-oriented
  • Demonstrated strong leadership in aligning process, projects, and people to meet business goals in cross-functional team settings
  • Demonstrated coordination skills for multi-phased release efforts
  • A track record of project delivery for medium to large product launch initiatives
  • Experience delivering cross-functionally in an agile software development environment is a plus including launching new products from the ground up
  • Market and competitive analysis experience a plus
  • Sales enablement experience in B2B environments a plus
  • Operates successfully in ambiguous environments
  • Handles multiple contending priorities simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
