Senior Director, Product Management
Job Description
Department: Product
iFIT’s vision is to create the world's most holistic health and fitness platform, integrating all elements of health - physical fitness, mental health, nutrition and active recovery - into a seamless interactive experience. We develop proprietary software that learns and adjusts to the habits of each person as it delivers immersive content that guides them on their own individual fitness journey.
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Director, Product Management to join our team. Reporting to the CPO, this leader will translate high-level product vision into executable roadmaps and will be the connective tissue between engineering, operations, marketing, and software teams — ensuring hardware products are delivered on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality.
ROLE COMMITMENTS
- Drive the long-term hardware product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap that supports membership growth, revenue, and category leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing hardware Product Management team, instilling rigor in PRDs, business cases, prioritization, and Phase Gate execution
- Improve product-market fit and commercial performance through structured voice-of-customer programs, competitive intelligence, and disciplined post-launch tracking
- Drive portfolio investment recommendations across sustaining, new product introduction (NPI), and disruptive innovation — balancing near-term commitments with long-term platform bets
- Partner on pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy across the hardware portfolio in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Member Services
- Develop the future product roadmap in partnership with Engineering and the component ecosystem - including Cameras, Projectors, Consoles, Motors, Lift/Drive systems, and new resistive-motor categories such as Pilates
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and own the long-term hardware product vision, strategy, and roadmap that aligns with iFIT's holistic health and fitness platform and business objectives (e.g., membership growth, revenue targets).
- Drive the product portfolio to ensure the optimal balance of sustaining, new product introduction (NPI), and disruptive, innovative platforms.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a Hardware Product Management team, building the discipline, talent, and operating rhythms required to deliver against an ambitious roadmap
- Own the full Product Lifecycle from concept through end-of-life - including discovery, definition, development, launch, in-life performance management, and portfolio rationalization.
- Serve as the executive owner of the Phase Gate process from a product perspective, ensuring every program has clear requirements, business cases, success metrics, and trade-off decisions to ship on-time, on-budget, and on-quality.
- Partner with the Software, Content, and AI leadership to ensure a truly seamless and interactive experience where hardware and digital content elevate each other.
- Collaborate closely with leadership to make informed trade-offs across features, cost of goods (COGs), timing, and quality.
- Act as the executive voice of the product to Marketing, Sales, and Member Services - owning compelling product narratives, pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy that translate hardware capabilities into clear member value.
- Define portfolio-level KPIs (attach, NPS, return rate, engagement, LTV impact, gross margin) and lead executive-level post-launch reviews that feed learnings back into the roadmap.
- Own competitive intelligence and consumer research at the portfolio level, maintaining a current executive view of category trends, pricing dynamics, and unmet needs in connected fitness.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science), Business, or a related field is required; an advanced degree (MS) is a plus.
- 8+ years of Product Management experience, owning a high-volume, global connected hardware or consumer electronics portfolio.
- Demonstrated success owning a hardware product roadmap end-to-end - from concept through high-volume mass production with Asian Contract Manufacturers (CMs) - and through in-market performance.
- Proven track record building and scaling Product Management teams, including hiring, leveling, and instilling PM discipline (PRDs, business cases, Phase Gate, KPI ownership).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading product strategy for hardware + software/subscription businesses where hardware drives recurring revenue and engagement.
- Deep technical fluency with relevant hardware systems: consumer electronics, embedded systems, sensors, fitness mechanics, and IoT connectivity.
- Strong commercial instincts and quantitative fluency - comfortable with pricing strategy, gross margin trade-offs, member analytics, and A/B testing.
- A proven track record of launching innovative products that achieved significant market success and category leadership.
