Senior Director, Project Management- Global Development

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Development Project Management professional to join our Global Project Management (GPM) team in the Global Development Organization (GDO)at Kyowa Kirin.  This key leadership role will be responsible for the GPM Excellence Program and drive the GPM global standards for people, process, and technology to enable execution excellence to enable pipeline progression for development projects and collaborations, while also overseeing project portfolio level processes and deliverables. 

Essential Functions:

•    Serves as a member of the GPM LT and key multiplier leader to drive pipeline progression through excellence in PM 
•    Leads the PM Excellence Program to establish robust global standard processes, tools, templates and metrics for development project management
•    Leads capabilities training for project managers, mentors project managers in global PM be standards to improve project success and pipeline progression
•    Ensures on-going assessment of PM global standard processes, tools and templates for continuous improvement opportunities 
•    Oversees Integrated Development Project Budget Management standards, insights, trends and reporting to senior leadership 
•    Leads the design, implementation, and maintenance of project portfolio processes and deliverables 
•    Develops and foster strong relationships and communications with key stakeholders to influence and impact best practices
•    Provides input to annual action plans objectives and performance updates for Global Project Management                               

Requirements:

Education
•    Bachelor's Degree in Sciences or Engineering; Master’s Degree or other advanced degree preferred

Experience
•    At least 15 years with Drug Development experience 
•    At least 10 years of demonstrated experience in leading projects and project teams with PM certification.
•    Must have proven leadership with significant experience in demonstrating effective influence of senior management 
•    Proven record of leading teams in delivering results.
•    Strong Business and Financial Acumen.
•    Experience in leading strategy development and Project management.
•    Proven conflict management, collaboration and influencing skills.
•    Must be capable of making effective executive management level presentations
•    Six Sigma certification preferred
•    PMI certification preferred

Technical Skills
Proficient in MS Office Suite
