Join the team as our next Senior Director Head of Government Relations and Public Policy EMEA on Twilio’s Government Relations and Public Policy team.

About the job

This position is needed to represent and advance its interests in Brussels UN member states and the United Kingdom. Working closely with Twilio's Global Public Policy Legal teams and business units you’ll advance Twilio's interests with the EU Commission in Brussels Member States and oversight of government relations and public policy in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate closely with Twilio's Global Public Policy Team and business units to align with company objectives.

  • Lead Twilio's government affairs and public policy in EMEA driving successful advocacy campaigns.

  • Monitor and address telecommunications regulations and technology policy in EMEA focusing on EU Member States and the UK.

  • Devise responses to regulatory changes coordinating external advocacy.

  • Manage UK government relations and public policy.

  • Represent Twilio in European regulatory proceedings fostering partnerships and raising company profile through strategic initiatives.

Required:

  • 10+ years advising EU telecom firms with deep telecommunication regulatory knowledge spanning interconnection numbering resources privacy cybersecurity and AI impacts.

  • Extensive experience with EU Commission Member State bodies and government agencies adept in political affairs and industry relations.

  • Proven track record in policy advocacy influencing government institutions at all levels and implementing successful advocacy campaigns.

  • Skillful in building effective relationships demonstrating leadership in management and public policy implementation.

Desired:

  • Previous roles in EU institutions or Member States.

  • Fluency in English proficient in German and/or French.

  • Strong communication skills strategic thinking and legal or relevant advanced degree/experience.

Location

This role will be remote and based in the Brussels Belgium

Travel
