Job Description:
The Senior Director, Regional Marketing leads a comprehensive, multi-functional marketing team that develops and executes on the regional strategic marketing plan in support of corporate and commercial business objectives. They are responsible for driving portfolio growth across our various product lines, market segments, and districts within their region. They and their team provide the interface for sales and customer interaction and in addition, are responsible for assimilating regional market information and disseminating this to internal stakeholders, as well as acting as a conduit for internal information to be propagated throughout their region.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee development, implementation, and monitoring of the regional marketing strategic plan to ensure investment is allocated to appropriate growth target areas and channels
- Work with regional senior management and marketing teams to bring the voice of customer and voice of field into the overall strategic direction for our products, solutions and services in region
- Work with regional senior management and marketing teams to bring the voice of customer and region into the portfolio planning process
- Work with financial partners to allocate and monitor budget for channel activities and regional operational expenses ensuring budgets are adhered to and that ROMI is leveraged and applied to strategic planning
- Provide guidance and direction to the team on strategies and investment that drive business and growth from key market segments and customer types
- Work with cross-regional marketing leadership team to align on strategic initiatives and regional deployment, develop and evolve organizational structures and operating model to support target growth areas and business model
- Monitor, review and report out regional business across market segments, funnel health, and key customer types to ensure strategic plans are leveraged and adjusted accordingly
- Serve as active member of regional commercial leadership team with participation in commercial business reviews and town hall meetings; act as consultant and subject matter expert for commercial strategic and revenue planning
- Provide guidance through market characterization and dynamics to inform and assist regional commercial team for forecast and revenue planning
- Facilitate relationship-building and maintenance with appropriate and valuable principle investigators and sites, as well as Key Opinion Leaders
- Advise and guide program marketing team on development of optimal channel plan and investment to support regional segment strategies and growth targets (e.g. Events, Digital, Print, Social Media, Web)
- Advise and guide regional segment and channels team on development of appropriate value proposition and messaging, and the production and deployment of sales enablement tools
- As spokesperson and leader for the region, contribute actively to global marketing planning and governance processes
- Provide strong regional team leadership with a focus on communication, collectiveness and organizational clarity
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition activities which include identifying needs of the department, justification for budget to fill positions, coordinating with HR to market the position, review resumes, conduct interviews and identify and recommend a candidate as the potential hire, and employee orientation to the department and company.
- Talent Development activities which include developing training plans with employees to ensure they have the necessary expertise to successfully perform their jobs, provide ongoing guidance to employees, and career counseling to help employees develop and advance in their careers
- Performance Management activities include setting performance standards, ensuring employees have appropriate and realistic job goals, providing ongoing feedback about employees' performance, conducting performance appraisals, including assessing how the employees have performed and how they can improve their performance, developing performance improvement plans if employees' performance is not adequate and providing rewards for employee accomplishments.

Requirements:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals or other related materials to contribute to strategy formation
- Ability to effectively present information to top management and/or the scientific community
- Comprehensive understanding of core strategic marketing and business principles
- Ability to interpret and communicate financial data and concepts
- Requires the ability to work as a member of global multi-functional team, strong communication, organization skills and planning ability (demonstrated ability to lead in a matrix, global environment)

Preferred Experience/Education:
- Bachelors or Masters in genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry or equivalent is required
- Minimum of 15 years in marketing and/or sales/commercial roles in the life sciences, health care or medical technology field
The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $216,200 - $324,200. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
