Senior Director, Revenue Operations

Quick take: Axios is a growth-stage media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. We are looking for a Senior Director of Revenue Operations to join our growing sales team for our core media advertising and subscriptions businesses.Â
Why it matters: As our Senior Director of Revenue Operations, you will serve an integral role in both strategically building out the enablement function while also moving the needle quickly on growing the sales team. Serving as an anchor for all sales transformation initiatives, your role provides a critical voice in sales strategy as well as execution muscle in making sure that enablement initiatives come to fruition.Â
Go deeper: In this strategic role, you will make an impact to Axios through the following responsibilities:
- Owning and setting the vision for the RevOps function, fostering a culture of collaboration and data-driven decision making, and prioritizing an achievable roadmap for each of its teams
- Leading the charge in our forecasting discipline across Core Media, Local and Pro business lines and sales teams
- Managing and coaching two sales analysts supporting Core Media/Local and Pro (respectively)
- Partnering closely with Client Partnerships, Client Success, and Ad Operations leaders to drive go-to-market strategiesÂ
- Collaborating with Revenue leaders to develop, align, and implement territory assignments, sales/compensation plans, and quotas
- Keeping customer, lead, revenue, and other corporate data aligned and accurate across the organization
- Analyzing the productivity of the Client Partnerships teams and envisioning a tooling and systems roadmap for continuous improvement
- Ensuring Axios’ technology infrastructure scales to keep pace with growth
- Establish a Deal Desk function that will both help to optimize the structure and terms of contracts in order to drive consistency and contractual outcomes, and offload manually intensive activities off of the Sales/CS Reps shoulders
The details: Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for Axios’ mission and have the following skills:
- 7-10+ yrs experience in sales, sales enablement, coaching and managementÂ
- Track record of building successful revenue operations teams
- Experience in 1:1 coaching conversations and ability to manage various stages of performance
- Ability to adapt quickly to evolving needs of a high growth sales teamÂ
- Experience working with a CRM (Salesforce, Boostr or Hubspot)
- High emotional intelligence and deep commitment to progressive diversity and inclusion practices

On target earnings for this role is in the range of $150,000-$180,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation benefits.
