ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Director, Sales Operations will oversee Sales Strategy, Category Management & Salesforce Tools/Capabilities supporting the US Commercial Strategy & Operations team (e.g. US commercial strategy, retail programs, data and analytics, skill development, sales support and operations), to drive our strategic thinking and operational excellence across our US Commercial team. Reporting to our Vice President of US Commercial Strategy and Operations, the Senior Director, Sales Operations is a member of the US Commercial Leadership Team (CLT) and will be a key partner with other Commercial, Operations, Finance and HR partners. The Senior Director, Sales Operations supports the team in embedding business strategy and processes to support and advise the SVP, General Manager United States, & Chief Operating Officer on both long- and short-term US Commercial strategies.Â
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Â
- Thought partner and commercial strategist to VP Commercial Strategy & Operations US
- Leadership of commercial Centers of Excellence (COE) teams that include commercial strategy, category management, data and analytics, and Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management) capabilities
- Development of deep analytics capabilities to proactively monitor the health of all aspects of the US Commercial operations and proactively provide recommendations and implementation strategies for necessary changes for optimization and forecasting
- Lead the development, effective communication, and successful implementation of the business’s strategic objectives and processes, engaging in sensitive and high-value commercial and cross-functional business initiatives
- Proactively support and interact with the Commercial leadership team to identify & embed business strategies and objectives (both long- and short-term), go-to-market strategy, category management and CRM technology capabilities and performance management best practices
- Ability to lead, hire, coach, mentor and provide professional development and growth opportunities to the Sales Operations team (category management & CRM technology capabilities), which will be key in driving the success of the department and commercial business
- Support end-to-end go-to-market planning and coverage for US Commercial
- Represent the Commercial business in top priority enterprise projects, including new technology & capabilities development
- Represent VP Commercial Strategy & Operations US as needed in key cross-functional leadership team meetings
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of experience in business management, strategy, or other related fields in a Consumer Products Goods company
- 5 years of experience in Category Management, Analysis or Brand Management
- 5 years of experience utilizing Syndicated data sources (IRI, Nielsen, skupos, PDI, Koupon Media)
- 2+ years of experience with in-depth knowledge of Salesforce optimization (route-to-market design, sales planning execution, sales force size/coverage, organization structures, etc.)
- Strategy consulting or similar professional experience with business leadership and a demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional and matrix business environment
- Experience in telling analytical business stories that address growth opportunities and solves internal and customer problems
- Experience leading a team both directly and indirectly and stakeholders through multiple projects leading to strategy optimization and business performance improvement
- Experience addressing sensitive business project issues by performing analyses and implementing appropriate measures to address the issues
- A natural collaborative, hands-on and results oriented leader, with strong analytical background and able to thrive in a rapid growth environment
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree with strong academic performance
- B.A. or other advanced technical degree preferred

SALARY RANGES:
Salary varies by role, level and location, and is dependent on the cost of labor in a given
geographic region among other factors. These ranges may be modified at any time.
