Senior Director - SaraOS Ecosystem

Your Role

We are looking for a Senior Director - SaraOS Ecosystem to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android development and a proven track record of leading teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

A Day in the Life

• Lead the development and implementation of the SaOS Platform Strategy (based on Android OS) including the SDKs and APIs, Sara App Store, and the various healthcare applications in alignment with the company's overall goals.
• Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of Android OS projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement in the Android operating system.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Android development to drive product excellence.
• Work closely with product management and design teams to ensure the Android OS meets user needs and market demands.

What You Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in Android operating system development, with at least 5 years in leadership roles leading midsize teams, preferably both hardware and software
• Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successfully leading and mentoring teams in the development of custom Android ROMs for specialized applications.
• Experience working in an agile development environment and delivering products on schedule.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology innovation.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on Android ROM development and customization.
• Deep understanding of Android OS architecture, including secure boot mechanisms, bootloader customization, kernel configurations, and system app integration.
• Deep understanding of popular tablet chipsets (such as Qualcomm, MediaTek, etc.) and Systems on Chip (SoC), including peripherals and drivers.
• Experience collaborating and negotiating with tablet device vendors to design and customize hardware solutions for specific use cases.
• Proficiency in implementing Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, including device provisioning, configuration, and security management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in building kiosk mode Android applications a plus
• Knowledge of best practices and design principles for developing secure and user-friendly kiosk mode applications.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations and compliance requirements related to software development and data security.
