Senior Director, Social, Creator & Culture
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an exceptional person to lead our Social and Creator teams, and to spearhead and accelerate Peloton’s role in culture. We have a brand and range of communities loved by millions, but have only just started to tell these stories, or co-create with these communities. This role is about growing our cultural relevance and brand by engaging and creating content and experiences with our communities, our instructors, our members, creators and other influencers. To focus on the people who make Peloton, Peloton.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Lead a talented Social team, currently managing Peloton’s global social presence, predominantly Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, but testing other emerging opportunities.
- Build out a dedicated Creator team that pushes the work already done in this space - see Alix Earle and Bretman Rock partnerships - and places Creators at the center of our marketing strategies. You will own the creator strategy and execution across micro, mid and macro creators, supporting both brand and performance goals.Â
- Partner with our unique Instructors to integrate them into Peloton’s social strategies, and also help build their brands on key platforms.Â
- Own all social reporting and analytics, always making the case for social and community’s key role in Peloton’s brand and growth.Â
- Sit on the Consumer Marketing leadership team, alongside Product Marketing, Integrated Marketing and Brand Marketing leaders.Â
- Work closely with the CMO and other executives, given the importance of our communities to Peloton’s brand and growth.Â
- Continuously push our thinking in social and creator marketing - show us how to be better.Â
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- Inherently understands Internet culture and how to build community, and can instantly make us better at doing this in an authentic way. Our unique community requires someone at the bleeding edge.Â
- Has experience of running Social at important, culturally relevant brands that have a clear POV in social, and where social is a key driver of the overall brand.
- Likely has experience of building a social / brand presence from scratch, or driving meaningful change in approach at a larger brand.Â
- Has experience building a content engine, with creative resources or agencies, that can create content at the speed of culture.Â
- Has excellent craft, tone and creative taste - we would love to see your work.
- Has led, or been in and around, extensive creator marketing, either in-house, or working with creator agencies. Who should Peloton work with, and why?Â
