Senior Director, Strategic Design and Brand Experience
Job Description
Location: This role is fully remote in the US and requires work hours in the Eastern Standard Time zone.
Purpose of the Senior Director, Strategic Design and Brand Experience:
We are seeking a visionary and accomplished leader to be at the forefront of creating unique and memorable brand experiences that seamlessly merge online and in-person interactions. With responsibilities that span brand strategy, onsite guest experience, interior design, and product design, you will have the opportunity to shape and redefine our brand identity and elevate it to new heights.

How you will make an impact:
- Strategic Brand Innovation: Develop and implement innovative brand strategies that set us apart in the competitive hospitality industry. Collaborate with the executive team to (re)define and execute a brand vision that resonates with a variety of traveler personas.
- Guest-Centric Design: Lead a team of product and interior designers to create product designs that bridge the gap between the digital and physical worlds to ensure a consistent and captivating brand experience. Develop creative solutions and communications that blend online and in-person experiences seamlessly.
- Creative Visionary: Create a distinctive experience for our guests by driving the creative vision for all interior design projects including signage, in-room touches, complimentary offerings, color schemes, furniture and building aesthetics.
- Operational Readiness: Oversee the interior design of our units, on-site branding, signage, and way-finding standards and bring common spaces to life. This involves partnering with our operations team to meet logistical and budgetary constraints.
- Leadership: Inspire and mentor a high-performing design team, fostering an environment of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Role OKR: Develop a compelling and memorable brand strategy for our guests and property partners
- Key Initiative: Increase recognition rate of Kasa among guests and owners
- Key Initiative: Improve guest and owner sentiment toward our brand, both before and after trial
- Role OKR: Align our digital experience and surface areas with this brand to achieve our business objectives
- Key Initiative: Improve conversion through the checkout flow by reducing abandonment and streamlining the UI/UX
- Key Initiative: Improve trip quality scores by simplifying the post-booking and on-trip digital guest experience
- Role OKR: Extend this brand to offline elements of building and in-unit experience
- Key Initiative: Receive positive feedback from guests and owners on the aesthetic and usefulness of on-site signage
- Key Initiative: Deliver on-site furnishing and operating supply standards that balance usefulness, style and cost
Required Qualifications:
- Experience Curator: Possess a knack for crafting imaginative and transformative in-room experiences, using engaging narratives that not only captivate guests but also leave a lasting impression, enriching their overall stay.
- Product Visionary: Take the helm in shaping exceptionally delightful user experiences, both in the digital realm and in physical spaces. This is achieved by diving deep into guest insights, continuously empathizing, and adjusting to ensure every interaction is memorable.
- Brand Strategist: With a discerning eye, weave every facet of the brand's core identity into in-room designs. This involves a harmonious blend of aesthetic allure with cost-effective solutions and long-lasting durability, ensuring every detail echoes Kasa’s brand values.
- Change Leader: Show prowess in navigating the intricate landscape of risk versus uncertainty. Be a beacon in foreseeing diverse potential futures, championing transformative agendas, and guiding teams in not only adapting to but also thriving amidst change. Your guidance is instrumental in setting the path forward.
- Growth Facilitator: Constantly challenge the status quo and set ambitious benchmarks. Take pride in empowering team members, fostering their growth, and creating a space where feedback isn't just welcomed but actively sought, bridging gaps across various roles and functions.

- Data Expert: Dive deep into the world of data, harnessing its potential to make well-informed, strategic decisions. - Digital Transformation: Knowledge of digital technologies and how they can be harnessed to enhance the brand's digital presence and customer experiences.
💰 The Pay
The starting base pay range for this role is between $165,000 and $193,000 and is set based on multiple considerations including business needs, market demands, talent availability, experience, and unique skills and attributes. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for equity, bonus, perks, benefits, and Kasa Travel Credits.

- 💰 The Pay: The starting base pay range for this role is between $87,000 and $90,000 and is set based on multiple considerations including business needs, market demands, talent availability, experience, and unique skills and attributes. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for equity, bonus, perks, benefits, and Kasa Travel Credits.
