The Opportunity:Â
As Senior Director of Talent Business Partners you will be closely consulting and partnering with a Business Unit leader to support attainment of strategic business objectives. In this role you will work directly with the Chief People Officer, the VP of Talent Business Partners and C-level leader to deeply engage with them and their leadership team to develop and implement people strategies integrated with their business strategy. Implementation will require leading and orchestrating People Team services and support to realize the people strategies and respond to changing needs with agility. You will have the opportunity to help shape how the People Team transforms along with Rocket Travel by Agoda to achieve our business outcomes.Â
In This Role, You’ll Get To: Â
- Closely partner with senior leaders, embedding in the business unit to understand their business and organizational strategy, their talent, and all people aspects of a globally distributed organizationÂ
- Deeply analyze and understand the organization to develop strong insights and proactive, actionable recommendations with plans to take them into fast implementationÂ
- Implement people programs supporting departmental strategies and aligned with overall Agoda approach, coordinating across People Team functions and deeply partnering with the business to make the programs impactful and successfulÂ
- Lead and develop a team (both directly and on project basis) to deliver the desired business impactÂ
- May drive one or more People Team capabilities or platforms that improve collective ability to drive impact across Agoda (for example, a key capability such as change management or a talent management platform such as engagement surveys.)Â
- Ably represent People Team in Agoda leadership forums, and represents Agoda in interactions with related brand companies in people-related topics aimed at sharing and learning best practices, harmonizing policies where appropriate such as inter-brand transferÂ
- Mentor and develop other professionals in a maturing People functionÂ
- Use data to bring insights to stakeholders, inform strategy, track and measure impact of programs tied to business impact such as exit insights and retention strategy, engagement data, patterns of performance management, and more Â

What You’ll Need To Succeed:Â
- 15+ years of experience in strategic or management consulting or significant internal consulting experience in large organization preferably in the tech industryÂ
- Acute business acumen and understanding of how organizational structures and dynamics relate to execution Â
- Experience with employee relations cases and process management, and labor regulations in multiple marketsÂ
- Practical experience combined with knowledge of best practices in core employment support and services for employees and managersÂ
- Deep understanding of the systems and associated data across the employee lifecycle and attendant business processes across full employee lifecycleÂ
- Excellent executive presence and the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences Â
- Ability to bring business perspectives and facilitate outcomes is more important than experience in HR roles Â
- Excellent judgment, self-motivated, curious and trustworthy Â
- Outstanding ability to lead a team with strong ability to prioritize and guide robust, detailed executionÂ
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability backed with excellent data sense Â
- High level of discretion, confidentiality, and ethicsÂ
- Ability to work well with people in a highly multi-cultural environmentÂ
- Ability to cope well with ambiguity and change in a dynamic environment while bringing structure that supports execution Â
- Humility, sense of humor, flexibility, good interpersonal skills and the ability to lead difficult conversations are a mustÂ
- Undergraduate degree from a top university expected, advanced degrees welcome Â
It’s Great If You Have:
- Familiarity with organizational and instructional design Â
- Experience working with, or in support of diverse communities. Â
- Demonstrated change management experience in areas other than HRÂ Â
