Senior Director, Technical Consulting
Job Description
This key position reports to the Vice President of Professional Services within our Professional Services team, partnering on the strategic direction for the practice area. As a Senior Director, Technical Consulting, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading a Professional Services team of Managers, Technical Consultants, and Professional Services Developers
- Setting annual plans for innovative technology solutions, in collaboration with product teams.
- Actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives and development methodology practices
- Completing practice area budget planning and sales forecasting
- Driving effective resource allocation and team engagement to ensure quality service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Supporting sales cycles presentations on Corcentric technical footprint and integration capabilities.
- Supporting services estimation and pricing. Monitoring delivery actuals versus estimates
- Leading customers, project teams and development resources on technical choices related to the product solution
- Supporting cross functional teams with project escalation and issue resolution through resource balancing
- Supporting customer production issue management
- Extending existing functionality, providing solutions to achieve better quality and performance
- Interacting with customers to recommend solutions and support application troubleshooting
Requirements
You'll need to have:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional working experience
- Proven experience with technical product-based project implementation supporting business to business (B2B) integrations
- Experience in hiring, coaching, and managing a global team of high potential software developers
- Software engineering experience, with proficiency in a number of development languages, tools, and methodologies
- A passion for application development using web technologies.
- Functional knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles & design patterns
- Experience working in results-oriented environment managing technology-products, geographically distributed teams.
- Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to balance conflicting interests in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Experience in leading global delivery organizations with both contract and employee teams
- A customer-focused mindset, with the ability to be highly responsive with excellent verbal & written communication skills, exemplary interpersonal skills
- Excellence problem solving and analysis skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Creative thinking skills, with the ability to adapt and pivot as business needs evolve, in support of the customer
- PHP, MySQL, Apache and .Net (VB, C#)
- XML, Webservices and integration middleware
- HTML, JSON, XML
- SQL on any RDBMS
- Versioning management tools: Git, SVN
- Unix or Linux
- The ability to travel up to 25% to customer and partner locations, or Corcentric office locations
