Job Description

Modivcare is looking for a Senior Director of Transportation who will be responsible for setting and implementing the strategic plan for the growth and development of the Transportation Provider network to support transportation demand. They will manage a team responsible for recruiting and contracting new transportation providers as well as maintaining positive growth relationships within our existing provider network.

  • Manage strategic relationships, identify opportunities, and create a strategic plan for National transportation providers for National provider contracts.
  • Implement transportation network growth and development plans created in partnership with the capacity and planning team.
  • Create and standardize capacity models that drive an efficient NEMT transportation provider network.
  • Recruit transportation providers and/or identify growth opportunities within current network.
  • Work with community-based organizations to partner with and provide alternative transportation options.
  • Participate in the development of responses for RFPs and possible presentations.
  • Develop strategic business recommendations for transportation network development related to RFPs.
  • Conduct contract negotiations or related negotiations with transportation providers.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with business partners.
  • Maintain communication across departments related to transportation network development opportunities and status of action plans.
  • Conduct regular market research to understand the various transportation dynamics and requirements set forth by clients or local government.
  • Develop and execute strategies for the growth and quality of the transportation provider network to ensure the organization can satisfy contractual obligations and customer expectations.
  • Establish growth and revenue goals for team and assist in closing the deal as necessary.
  • Establish procedures and policies to evaluate contract agreements and documents, negotiate terms/rates with clients, and resolve transportation contract needs.
  • Identify key providers and support team in the maintenance and development of ongoing relationships with transportation providers & outside agencies relevant to network health and provider business support.
  • Ensure that new transportation providers are engaged in a timely manner, and that concerns or inquiries are adequately addressed.
  • Monitor costs and performance to ensure cost effective and meets contract requirements.
  • Create procedures and standards to ensure timely resolution of provider complaint reports and the supply of quality monitoring.
  • Incorporate data insights to develop transportation provider service quality and customer satisfaction metrics to evaluate and improve the selection and maintenance of the transportation provider network.
  • Support cross functional projects and initiatives through the development of key milestones, project plans, and policy development.
  • May lead projects and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional business travel may be required.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Fifteen (15) plus years' experience in account management, NEMT, or transportation.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in medical and/or handicapped transportation management, project management and government contracting strongly preferred.
  • Seven (7) plus years' leadership experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare landscape -- MCOs, Medicare, Medicaid, Health Systems
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans, direction, and goal setting for department in order to meet organizational goals.
  • Ability to establish departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NEMT and transportation providers.
  • Ability to create ownership and commitment through influence.
  • Must be results oriented, customer focused, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail an accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills required, including strong presentation skills.
  • Quick to execute ad-hoc projects and adapt to change.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to build strong relations with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends based on business needs.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Determine appropriate resourcing of staff in order to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Build an effective leadership team through mentoring and formal education that focuses on management and project management principles.
  • Define annual Key Performance Indicators aligned with corporate goals.
  • Direct and mentor leaders on performance gaps, career development opportunities, and strategies.
  • Direct and coach leaders on all human resource related processes including onboarding, performance management, succession planning, employee relations, selection, terminations, compensation and rewards.
  • Accountable for collective results and recognizing others' contributions and share credit for success.
  • Own attainment of high employee satisfaction and retention; lead development of program and initiatives within group to attain high employee satisfaction.
  • Direct and influence change management initiatives to drive improvements and efficiencies cross-functionally
  • Ability to direct and interact collaboratively and communicate effectively with external, internal customers, and stakeholders to address issues and ensure alignment across the organization to drive customer success
  • Prepare and manage budget as assigned; analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions to maximize operational performance.

Salary: $111,186 - $165,671 / annually
