Ready to put your technical drainage and stormwater management skills to work on exciting road and highway projects? Parsons is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer for our Peachtree Corners, GA office with a desire to enhance the fabric of our community and to work on exciting projects locally and across the US.
Role:
This role will complete a wide variety of difficult drainage engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses on road and highway projects. We are seeking a candidate with both technical and leadership skills that can work with our continually growing team, provide technical guidance, and oversee and check the completion of drainage and stormwater management designs. This position has tremendous growth opportunity in a well-established and successful office.
Responsibilities:
- Functions as senior engineer on small to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the group under direction of the Drainage Lead.
- May plan, direct, and supervise work of drainage engineering designers.
- Performs complex drainage engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
- Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes.
- Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.
- May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
- May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field)
- 8+ years of related work experience on road and highway projects.
- GDOT experience is highly desired.
- Professional Engineer registration is required.
- Potential to perform in a leadership capacity.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
