Senior Drupal Developer
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Drupal Developer to join our team to support our USDA contract. This position will be involved with full life cycle software development/DevOps for a federal agency. This is a large-scale IT software development effort implementing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Working as part of a project team, the Senior Drupal Developer performs a variety of complex solution development tasks related to architecture, design, development, maintenance and deployment of software code for customer websites, cloud systems, and other applications. Individuals in this role apply their knowledge from formal education & training and hands-on experience in software development creating innovative technical solutions that meet solution business objectives and tech requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
As a member of the team designing new and enhanced Drupal-based websites for the company and its customers, activities would include but not be limited to:
- Experience developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations in a LAMP environment.
- Ability to architect enterprise Drupal solutions including data, display, and information architecture.
- Advanced site-building experience including deep familiarity with Drupal modules such as Views.
- Developing and maintaining web-based systems 508 compliant web applications using the latest markup and scripting languages including: HTML5, PHP and JavaScript.
- Validate apps meet deliverable and functional requirements including cross-browser capability, usability, and accessibility features.
- Enabling data/system integrations for new or existing systems via APIs which could include JSON and other data feeds.
- Performing code reviews, mentor developers and enforcing coding standards defined by the organization and teams as well as document and develop clean code.
- Incorporating modern web development techniques including workflows, CSS preprocessors, JavaScript and package managers to maintain a modular and maintainable codebase.
- Managing Drupal application preparation for and executing deployments across environments.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years Software Development experience, with at least 4 years of Drupal experience (experience with Drupal 7/8 and Drupal 9).
- Demonstrate proficiency writing durable code for Drupal 8/9 with an excellent understanding of Drupal 8/9 ecosystem.
- Ability to write consistent, standards-compliant PHP 7+, HTML, and SASS/CSS; comfortable using Linux/Unix terminals and editing tools.
- Firm understanding of Object-Oriented concepts.
- Knowledge of latest web markup including HTML5, CSS3, and SASS for responsive site builds, handling cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Problem-solving and taking initiative with the ability to work and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Experience with Agile and Jira.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Docker, DDEV experience is a plus.
- Drupal Entity API experience is a plus.
- Drupal Forms API experience is a plus.
- Jenkins pipeline experience is a plus.
- FarmOS experience is a plus.
- Good knowledge on frontend development is a plus.

- The salary for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 annually
