ABOUT THE POSITION

The North America Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team focuses on our outlet, brand, and employee stores within the US and Canada. From merchandising to retail marketing to retail operations, there is a highly collaborative team working "behind the scenes" to ensure our consumers have a positive experience in our stores.

Columbia Sportswear is looking for a Sr. Data Analyst to complete complex analytical projects and data discovery. In this role, you will work with stakeholders to refine request requirements, complete analyses, and interpret findings into conclusions and actions. Projects will be varied and complex, including forecasting and predictive elements to fulfill business stakeholder needs.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand full impact of large-scale business initiatives and then models, validates, and productionalize results to present findings to stakeholders.
  • Complete complex ad-hoc analysis, ensuring that analysis is validated and answers immediate and future business needs.
  • Conduct continuous data exploration of data sources (internal/external), working with other teams to add to CSC datalake, validate and cleanse the data, and stage for analysis.
  • Champions data and tools that increase organizational access to data and ad-hoc capabilities to help stakeholders drive data-informed decisions.
  • Conduct demonstrations on analytical tools and concepts.
  • Collaborate and share ideas with other analytics functions to maintain consistency and accuracy of analytical tools, algorithms, and methodologies.

YOU ARE

  • A strong communicator (written and verbal communication skills), including ability to present to all levels within the organization
  • Able to translate complex analytics into business relevant language
  • A collaborative cross functional partner
  • Extremely detail-oriented

YOU HAVE

  • 5-8 years of professional experience and strong competency with the various tools, systems, or procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of SQL and/or Python
  • Experience in Databricks, Azure datalake preferred
  • General knowledge of data architecture and Power BI Desktop
  • Experience with CDP/CRM a plus
  • Retail/DTC experience a plus
