ABOUT THE POSITION
The North America Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team focuses on our outlet, brand, and employee stores within the US and Canada. From merchandising to retail marketing to retail operations, there is a highly collaborative team working "behind the scenes" to ensure our consumers have a positive experience in our stores.
Columbia Sportswear is looking for a Senior Visualization Analyst to create complex reporting and visualizations with embedded calculations on top of existing data models, data sources, and predictive datasets on large-scale projects and ad hoc requests. In this role, you will work with business stakeholders to understand requirements, interpret reporting, and present strategic insights to leadership. Additionally, you will collaborate with developers designing and architecting data models as well as assist in quality assurance and enhancements.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and interpret general business needs into meaningful and actionable reporting and visualization utilizing available datasets and models.
- Collaborate with technical team to convert business requirements into technical data requirements for modelling into datasets and models. Partner with developers on model design, architecture, quality assurance, and validation.
- Lead demonstrations on analytical tools and concepts including cross-functional knowledge shares identifying best practices, new features, and alternative uses for platform.
- Champion data and tools that increase organizational access to data and ad hoc capabilities to help stakeholders to draw conclusions and drive data-informed decisions.
- Assist with managing security groups, report security, and developing security protocols.
YOU ARE
- Able to translate complex functionality into business relevant language
- Able to manage projects from beginning to end
- Well-versed in retail principles, reporting, and analysis
- Well-versed in communication (written + verbal)
YOU HAVE
- 5-8 years of professional experience and mastery of relevant technical or business skills
- Thorough knowledge of visualization platforms required (specific experience in Power BI preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Power Point and DAX functions
- Experience with CDP/CRM a preferred
- General knowledge of SQL coding and data architecture preferred
- Previous experience in Retail industry required
