Senior Economist, Real Estate

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Economist who has a passion for applying creative economic thinking to understanding housing trends, their impacts, conducting research and sharing key data findings and insights with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. As a Senior Economist, you will be constantly collaborating with the operations, strategy, sales and marketing team to provide key insights on the market. 

The ideal candidate will have a deep interest in thinking critically and creatively about data with an ability to apply a macro and micro lens on industry trends. In this role, you will be a part of the sales and marketing team and will report to the SVP of Growth

What You’ll Do:

• Assess and analyze internal data sets and publicly available housing data, monitor demographic and economic trends at a local, regional and national level and synthesize large amounts of data into succinct and novel housing market insights
• Establish Entera as a go-to partner for single family housing trends by leveraging internal and external data to develop perspectives and predictions on future industry trends 
• Work closely with the Entera marketing and data science teams to identify storytelling opportunities, develop regular blog posts, visualizations and whitepapers on the state of the market supported by research insights
• Identify potential sources of risk and indicators of market opportunity, shifts and volatility on an ongoing basis
• Build relationships with key analysts and journalists and become an Entera advocate and spokesperson amongst industry influencers
• Collaborate with external partners on new initiatives and research projects to tackle industry issues

You Should Have:

• Advanced degree in Economics, Finance or Statistics with 5+ years of real estate industry experience
• Proficiency in SQL and statistical packages (R or Python)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to tailor messages to a variety of audiences 
• An ability to take complex data and synthesize it into clear insights and takeaways
• Experience working with and collaborating with multiple teams and business functions
