Team Summary: 

IGS Energy is looking for a Senior EDI Software Engineer to round out our EDI Team! Our EDI Team is a high-performance group who are held in high esteem both internally and externally. They act as the high-speed bridge between our internal business partners and external partners. They work hand-in-hand with every other IT discipline to integrate with their myriad integration points. The EDI Team stands front and center for every new external-facing IT initiative. The Senior EDI Software Engineer will be integral for delivering tasks and will be exposed to many emerging technologies to get the job done in the way that makes the most sense in the long run

As a Senior EDI Software Engineer at IGS, you will be working in an energetic and agile environment with the latest IBM Sterling Integrator technology stack. You will develop quality software and influence technical decisions for the EDI product in a fast-paced environment. EDI Software Engineers at IGS are involved in all phases of software development, from defining requirements to production releases. They are embedded in cross-functional teams of analysts, product managers, and testing staff, collectively striving to quickly deliver high-quality, high-value software. We work in an environment that encourages individual initiative, leadership at all levels, and team-based continuous improvement. Your most important responsibility will be delivering quality software solutions which meet the needs of the product.  

 

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Help architect and manage the IBM Sterling Integrator environment. 

  • Be capable of quickly taking ownership of features, applications, and systems. 

  • Support the deployment and maintenance of the EDI product in all environments. 

  • Create and support transactional processes utilizing IBM Sterling Integrator, custom code, and other software. 

  • Build and maintain translation maps for X12, XML, database, and flat files. 

  • Contribute to the technical direction of the EDI product and understand how the technical direction aligns with business objectives and the product roadmap. 

  • Collaborate with product team members within an agile environment to ensure project goals are in alignment. 

  • Collaborate with other product teams across IGS to meet project and product goals.  

  • Demonstrate the ability to drive complex technical projects to completion both independently, and by working with a cross-functional team.  

  • Act as a mentor for other EDI engineers, providing guidance and support.  

  • Ensure data and trading partner issues are resolved while meeting the desired SLA. 

  • Monitor data and process flows for efficiency, success, timeliness, and accuracy. 

  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to the product and engineering domain.

Minimum Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience. 

  • Minimum of 5+ years of in-depth EDI development experience with IBM Sterling Integrator. 

  • Familiarity of agile development principles. 

  • Enthusiastic self-starter capable of quickly taking ownerships of features, applications, and systems.  

  • Decisiveness, good judgment, analytical/math/strategic aptitude, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary to interface with and influence all levels of the organization. 

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, low-structure, quick to change environment.

Salary Range:

$108,950.00 - $183,040.00

*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.

This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance.
