Job Description

 About the Team: Reporting to the Managing Editor, the Senior Editor holds a pivotal role within our content teamThe Senior Editor is tasked with creating top-notch cultural narratives, weaving the stories of emerging talents and seasoned icons into the screens and hearts of a new generation of consumers. Developing, assigning, and refining compelling reported features, essays, interviews, and more lie at the core of this position. We're seeking an ideal candidate who can collaborate seamlessly with a team of skilled writers, consistently propose engaging story ideas to content team leaders, and deliver approved pitches on time and within budget. Additionally, the Senior Editor will contribute their own stories on a regular basis.

• Regularly contribute your own stories for SSENSE.com and SSENSE PRESS, showcasing your writing skills and adding your unique perspective to our content.
• Identify opportunities to support broader SSENSE priorities through content initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional partners in departments such as Buying, Personal Shopping, and more.
• Represent SSENSE at industry events, reporting on-site and networking with peers in media and fashion.
• Develop and expand your network of collaborators and industry contacts across fashion, retail, music, art, film, and media landscapes.

 How To Excel In This Role: 

• Previous experience in Editing.
• Have a passion and understanding for the luxury fashion industry.
• Familiarity with CMS is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, OS X, and Google products.

• Compensation Package: The base salary is $95,000.
