This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Editor, People Managing People based in Canada.
This role sits at the intersection of editorial leadership, audience growth, and community-building for a modern media brand focused on people leadership and HR transformation. You will shape how senior HR and people leaders consume insights across multiple formats, including articles, newsletters, podcasts, video, events, and social platforms. The role goes far beyond traditional editing, requiring a strategic mindset to build engaged audiences, strengthen editorial authority, and create repeatable engagement loops. You will translate practitioner insight into high-value, decision-support content that helps leaders navigate topics such as AI adoption, culture, talent, and organizational design. Working in a fast-evolving digital media environment, you will experiment with formats, distribution strategies, and engagement models to grow loyalty and trust. This is a high-impact role focused on building a recognized destination for modern people leadership content.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the creation, editing, and distribution of multi-format editorial content including articles, newsletters, podcasts, video, social media, livestreams, and events.
- Develop audience-first editorial strategies grounded in practitioner insights, interviews, surveys, and community feedback.
- Build and optimize decision-support content that helps HR and people leaders make informed choices on culture, talent, AI adoption, and organizational effectiveness.
- Grow subscriber acquisition, engagement, retention, and repeat audience behavior through content experimentation and optimization.
- Leverage analytics and performance data to refine headlines, formats, distribution channels, and conversion pathways.
- Manage contributor networks, industry experts, and strategic partners to expand content reach and authority.
- Oversee content repurposing strategies to maximize the value of editorial assets across multiple platforms and channels.
- Proven experience in editorial leadership, content strategy, journalism, or audience development within a B2B or professional content environment.
- Strong ability to translate complex HR, organizational, or technical topics into clear, engaging, and actionable content.
- Experience growing digital audiences through newsletters, content platforms, or community-driven initiatives.
- Familiarity with multi-channel content formats including written, audio, video, and live experiences.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using audience data, SEO insights, and engagement metrics to guide decisions.
- Excellent interviewing, synthesis, and storytelling skills with strong editorial judgment.
- Ability to collaborate with contributors, subject matter experts, and external partners in a fast-paced environment.
- Competitive annual base salary in the range of approximately 100,000 to 130,000 USD (adjusted based on location and experience).
