Senior EHS Specialist

EHS Specialist Role 

Redwood Materials is seeking an entrepreneurial Environmental Health and Safety Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with multiple teams including Production, Maintenance, R&D and Construction to support daily operations of our multiple locations.

Responsibilities will include:

• Conducting safety and compliance audits per OSHA, EPA and ISO standards
• Implementing and documenting EHS programs and trainings
• Interacting with Redwood’s customers and suppliers to ensure compliance is being maintained.
• Managing EHS projects for multiple worksites in the Greater Reno Area.

Desired Qualifications

• B.S. or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Safety, Industrial Engineering, or another discipline with significant relevant coursework
• Prior work experience with a leading technology company in an EHS role, preferably with new process development
• Able to operate independently while creating and managing programs that ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate policies
• Self-motivated, hands-on mindset, with a willingness to contribute at all levels
