Senior Email Marketing Specialist (1 year contract)

The Senior Email Marketing Specialist will report to Manager, Global Database Marketing. The specialist is responsible for building, testing, scheduling, as well as the deployment, optimization and reporting for email campaigns.

You will be an important member of the email marketing team, specializing in creating and implementing B2B email campaigns. The perfect candidate has experience creating all varieties of email marketing campaigns, from newsletters to events, managing the varying components & complexities of each. You have basic HTML knowledge and A/B testing experience. You are collaborative and eager to work with multiple stakeholders to deliver amazing experiences. You are an experienced Marketo user.

Responsibilities

• Operate directly in the email service provider platform (Marketo) including targeting, campaign building, QA, and scheduling
• Deploy one-time, triggered, messages as the calendar and regional needs stipulate
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for QA and approvals
• Coordinate with graphic designers to design and hand code responsive cross-browser email campaigns
• Own email performance and optimization, including creating reports that analyze delivery and campaign efficiency
• Act as the internal subject matter expert on email best practices and technologies
• Maintain QA process to ensure all communications are properly formatted
• Support the team with landing page creation with the help of html coders

Qualifications

• 3+ year of experience operating directly in an email marketing platform, including a proven track record with both coding and deployment. Marketo experience is required
• Marketo certification is a plus
• Deep understanding of email marketing strategy and best practices
• Knowledge of B2B email marketing best practices is a plus
• Exemplary attention to detail and time management skills
• Knowledgeable in Litmus, HTML, A/B Testing
• Excellent written communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a must
• Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline (a combination of education and experience will be considered)
