What will you do

Sensormatic Electronics, LLC seeks a Senior Embedded Engineer at its facility located at 5211 Linbar DR #507, Nashville, TN, 37211.

How you will do

  • In charge of defining ExacqIQ's cloud strategy and development activities.
  • Work closely with software development and testing teams to design, implement and optimize ExacqIQ security cloud native applications and services.
  • Work with internal (e.g., sales, supports, etc.) and external clients in defining new products in addition to supporting existing products.
  • Scope and document technical work based on business requirements.
  • Design, implement and document highly scalable and fault-tolerant applications.
  • Prototype applications to evaluate new technologies as appropriate.
  • Enhance the performance of existing applications, and services.
  • Work with a large team of engineers in a cross-functional environment implementing high-quality products.
  • Provide status of their efforts on a daily (morning scrum) and weekly (team huddle) basis.
  • 100% Telecommuting.

What we look for

This position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Embedded Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, plus 7 years of experience as a software engineer working with embedded engineering.

Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with:

(1) Software development life cycle (SDLC), CS fundamentals, and software architecture;

(2) C/C++, C#, Linux or Linux-based OS, database (PostgreSQL or NoSQL) and embedded systems;

(3) MVC, Web API's, WPF, XAML, and .NET;

(4) UI development in desktop and embedded systems;

(5) USB, hardware, and TCP/IP networking;

(6) Cross-platform development with container orchestrations and prototyping;

(7) Source code version control using git;

(8) Rapid development concepts with Scrum/Agile.

In the alternative, this position requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Embedded Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, plus 5 years of experience as a software engineer working with embedded engineering. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with:

(1) Software development life cycle (SDLC), CS fundamentals, and software architecture;

(2) C/C++, C#, Linux or Linux-based OS, database (PostgreSQL or NoSQL) and embedded systems;

(3) MVC, Web API's, WPF, XAML, and .NET;
