Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Main Responsibilities:

• Working within our software verification group this individual will be responsible for the following activities:
• Setting up automated building of embedded system images, including kernels, networks stacks and applications provided by the team.
• Setting up and debugging communication between target and host machines.
• Supporting scaling of a test farm across geographically diverse locations on the network.
• Getting the test framework working on 5 new platforms each year.
• Maintaining existing platforms as BSPs are changed.
• Training junior engineers about embedded operating systems.
• Reverse engineer RTOS build systems to understand how to build the various elements of the embedded operating system.

Required Skills:

• 5 years of experience working in embedded software development.
• Understanding of TCP/IP communications.
• 2 years of experience using the C POSIX Socket API.
• Use of at least 2 of the following embedded operating systems: Deos, Integrity, LynxOS, PikeOS, VxWorks, QNX.
• Expert C programmer.
• Python programming experience.
• Use of Windows and Linux host development environments.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with ARINC 653 operating systems.
• Experience using JSON, TFTP, FTP, SSH, SCP, Telnet, RS-232.
• Good communication and likes working in a team environment.
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence and Sharepoint.
