Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Displays for the John Deere Construction and Forestry Division located in Dubuque, IA, you will participate on a team to design and develop high quality software for in-cab vehicle displays. In addition, you will...

• Act as a technical leader in design and analysis work for Advanced Display Embedded Software Projects.
• Operate in an Agile software development team, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews.
• Develop within and extend established guidelines; review the work of junior engineers before implementation.

What Skills You Need

• Extensive experience with software product development through practical work experience
• Experience with Linux application development
• Experience working with C++ or other object-oriented languages
• Demonstrated ability to analyze issues in a complex system, actively search for and identify potential issues, and drive for sustainable solutions
• Experience in roles that required demonstration of excellent communication skills

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience using Qt, QML, OpenGL, SQL, or GIS software libraries
• Experience with CAN and Ethernet networking communication protocols
• Experience with 3D Grade Control Systems
• Experience and expertise with C++ (including modern C++ syntax, patterns, practices)
• Experience designing and configuring software build systems
• Construction / earthmoving industry experience
• Experience using Agile Software Development Process.

Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar, or five years of equivalent work experience
