Come make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company in the position of the Employee Experience Specialist II.
The Employee Experience Specialist II will be responsible for providing functional knowledge and judgement to problem solve and address complex employee concerns and may provide coaching and counseling to employees. This is a critical role in ensuring a positive employee experience for the entire employee lifecycle. The Employee Experience Specialist II provides support in all facets of HR, working with the Centers of Excellence (COE), supporting employee onboarding, offboarding, retention, employee relations, policy interpretation, and application. As part of a newly created team focusing on serving the HR needs of our employee population, this person will be responsible for providing employee-centric service-oriented support for the organization
What You'll Do:
- Applies human resource concepts and general policy explanations to provide practical, consistent, and pro-active support, direction, and advice to employees on complex HR issues.
- Provides daily general HR support to employees, utilizing proper escalation when needed.
- Serves as an HR contact for employees; responds to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs, pay, and other employee questions.
- Supports benefits and leave administration, including short-term disability, workers' compensation, ADA, FMLA and personal leave.
- Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure issues are addressed and resolved promptly.
- Conducts new hire orientation and facilitates the integration of new employees into the company.
- Conducts training on HR programs and initiatives.
- Ensures consistent interpretation and application of established HR policies and practices throughout the Company.
- Supports employee relations and resolutions of concerns; escalates when needed.
- Assists with employee engagement initiatives.
- Administers exit interviews, monitor findings and present findings to Employee Services Team Manager.
- Assists with various HR projects and initiates as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience working in HR
- Broad HR functional knowledge with an understanding of employee HR-related needs
- Understanding of human resources policies and procedures
- Ability to describe complicated processes and tasks succinctly
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion; flexible and positive team player
- Ability to understand and interpret, and explain HR policies and procedures
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Understanding of human resources policies and procedures with a working knowledge of employment/labor laws and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS system
