Senior Endpoint SME

Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as a Senior Endpoint SME. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.

The Senior Endpoint SME is responsible for the architecture and deployment of endpoint solutions for customers. This includes expertise in one or more of the following areas: Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Azure Virtual Desktop, Autopilot, Windows Hello for Business, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly SCCM). The Senior Endpoint SME must also understand all aspects of Endpoint device management and security for Windows 10/11, iOS, and Android platforms.

Responsibilities

• Understand endpoint solutions in the broader context of Office 365, Azure and Security and Compliance
• Surface and analyze customer business requirements
• Design and plan endpoint solution using above referenced Microsoft toolsets
• Architect and build deployment solutions 
• Create OS Images and application packages 
• Deploy applications and updates as needed 
• Manage compliance and security settings 

Skills Required

• Significant hands-on Microsoft system administrator experience in the planning, migrating, deploying and maintaining Microsoft 365 services using Intune and MS Entra ID 
•  Experience in deploying, configuring, and maintaining Windows client and non-Windows devices 
• Experienced with implementing and managing endpoints at scale using MS Intune, Windows Autopilot, and MS Entra ID for Endpoint 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Proactively responding to internal and external technical communities 
• Ability to identify, scope, and refer opportunities for additional sales for Planet provided services and offerings 
• Proactively help Customers make more complex decisions around features and capabilities 

Essentials

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft Endpoint Technology Solutions
• Certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified Endpoint Administrator Associate or Microsoft Azure Certification preferred 
• Onsite: Hybrid in the DC area with the ability to be on-site as needed
