Job Description

How Will Your Role Impact First Command?

Responsible for the procurement and setup of PC computers in the Home Office and Field, which includes Virtual Desktop and Autopilot technologies.

Also responsible for escalated support of PC computers and related devices, which includes advanced troubleshooting, executive assistance, and exceptional customer service.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Assure prompt onboarding and offboarding of all personnel regarding endpoint devices

• Administer Virtual Desktop endpoints and related policies, settings, licensing, and processes

• Administer Windows Autopilot configurations, settings, and processes

• Administer System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) endpoint software configurations, including distributed software deployments and imaging

• Support and maintain desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and

• Support and maintain all Home Office conference room equipment and AV equipment

• Purchase and maintain purchasing schedules for all Home Office computers and peripherals

• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and controls for all computers and peripherals

• Support, maintain, and purchase First Command mobile devices

• Provide exceptional customer service

What Skills/Qualifications Do You Need? (Designate requirements vs. preferences)

Education

• 5 years of relevant work experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Work Experience

• Experience with Virtual Desktop and/or Windows Autopilot technologies required.

• Highly experienced with Windows OS installation, updating, support, and troubleshooting

• Demonstrated history of customer service experience required.

• Experience in obtaining quotes from vendors and hardware procurement preferred.

• Experience deploying software with SCCM preferred.

Certifications

• Microsoft certification(s) preferred.

• Ability to perform ad hoc troubleshooting without specific guidance required.

• Excellent listening and reasoning ability to recognize and diagnose problems required.

• Ability to make independent decisions when required and affect a resolution to a problem required.

• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills required.
