As a Senior Engagement Manager, you will play a critical role in engaging with clients throughout the entire sales and project lifecycle, from pre-sales to post-sales. You will support custom segmentation, custom modeling, and data appends, ensuring that customer needs are thoroughly understood and met. Acting as the technical face to the client, you will define the success of projects and oversee their delivery, maintaining a high standard of quality and customer satisfaction. Your role will bridge the gap between technical and business teams, leveraging data expertise to provide tailored solutions that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
- Engage with clients early in the sales process to understand their needs and objectives, and establish strong, trusting relationships.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support during the pre-sales phase, including conducting needs assessments and developing project parameters.
- Define project success criteria, develop detailed project plans, and oversee the execution of custom segmentation, custom model, and data append projects from start to finish.
- Provide ongoing support and consultation to clients post-delivery, addressing any issues and identifying opportunities for further engagement.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for clients, providing guidance and expertise on data and modeling techniques.
- Leverage extensive experience with data sets to analyze, interpret, and communicate data insights to clients.
- Ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and are aligned with client expectations.
- Use data to enhance business outcomes and deliver value to clients.
Project Management and Delivery:
- Work closely with internal teams, including sales, data science, and engineering, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Utilize technical skills to aggregate and manage complex data sets, troubleshoot and solve data-related issues and ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Stay up to date with the latest data technologies and trends to offer innovative solutions.
- Create and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations that highlight data capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior consulting role, preferably within the data, analytics, or tech industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects.
- Strong track record of working with large, complex data sets in a business context.
- Strong technical expertise in data segmentation, modeling, and data append techniques.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of business processes and how data can support them.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical information into business insights.
- Executive-level customer relationship management and proven ability to work with high-level executives and deliver outstanding results.
- Demonstrates operational excellence in analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, delegation, and planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Ability to travel as needed for client engagements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with segmentation, predictive modeling or AI supported solutions. Proficiency in Excel, SQL (Postgres and amazon Athena), spark/scala and python.
- Prior experience in business management or consulting or building new solutions to support B2B customers.
