Senior Engineer, Integrity

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Integrity to join our team at our Calcasieu Pass Facility in Cameron, Louisiana.

• This role reports to the Principal Engineer, Rotating Equipment and will be responsible for assisting the Operations team in developing and progressing Reliability and Integrity Engineering tasks and work scopes.
• Plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all equipment, systems, processes, and material for the Calcasieu Pass LNG facility. These activities encompass both “Time-Based” and “Condition based” programs. 
• The successful candidate shall be well versed in Materials, Corrosion, Coating, Cathodic Protection and Welding processes; with a good working knowledge of gas processing plant equipment such as general machinery, pipeline and pipings, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, instrumentations, and safety equipment.
• The incumbent shall also be intimately familiar with associated specifications, codes, regulations and standards (API, ASME, ANSI, ISO and NACE).

Responsibilities:

• Development and implementation of mechanical integrity and equipment reliability programs.
• Provide engineering and technical support for daily reliability and integrity activities, including unit routine inspections, walkdowns, shutdowns and turnarounds.
• Facilitate and/or participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) exercises for failures relating to plant equipment and/or processes.
• Facilitate and/or participate in Fitness For Service Studies (API 579).
• Lead and/or participate in Risk-Based Inspections (RBI, API 580/581), Integrity Operating Windows (IOW, API 584); and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM, SAE JA1011) studies.
• Assure quality control programs are up to date and followed for operations reliability and integrity engineering while ensuring that all SHE systems are upheld.
• Implement process equipment modifications and abide by MOC process.
• Play an active role in shutdown/turnaround planning to ensure inspections and repairs are carried out per applicable codes and regulations e.g. ASME/API requirements.
• Facilitate and/or participate continuous improvement efforts, such as identifying, tracking, and analyzing solutions for site’s Bad Actor Program.
• Supervise Venture Global LNG Mechanical Integrity Inspectors as applicable.

Qualifications:

• Education and Certifications: 
• As a minimum, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required (Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgy or Equivalent). 
• A Professional Engineering License would be a plus.
• Knowledgeable in Corrosion Management, Cathodic Protection, Materials and Non-Destruction Testing.
• Applicable certification/Qualifications (e.g. NACE, AMPP, ASNT, CWI).
• Experience: 
• A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience working in a similar senior engineering capacity, with Mechanical and process plant equipment in an industrial setting.
• Oil and Gas experience is required, with preference in LNG applications, however, petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing experience may be acceptable.
