Focus:

Designs, develops, solves problems, debugs, evaluates, modifies, deploys, and documents software and systems that meet the needs of customer-facing applications, business applications, and/or internal end user applications.

Organizational Context:

Member of a product engineering or delivery and integration team reporting to a Senior Engineer, Engineering Director or Director Product Delivery & Integration.

How will you make an impact in this role?

You will be part of a fast-paced team responsible for delivering outstanding card member experiences across multiple travel booking channels in Travel & Lifestyle Service Technologies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Software Development
  • Perform aspects of software development for assigned applications including design, developing prototypes, and coding assignments
  • Function as a leader on an agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation)
  • Lead code reviews and automated testing
  • Debug software components and identify code defects for remediation
  • Leads the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments
  • Empower teams to automate deployments in test or production environments
  • Empower teams to automatically scale applications based on demand projections

Leadership
  • Takes accountability for the success of the team achieving their goals
  • Assist team members and help overcome technical problems
  • Assist in retaining and hiring team members
  • Drives the team's strategy and prioritizes initiatives
  • Influence team members by challenging status quo, demonstrating risk taking, and implementing creative ideas
  • Productivity multiplier for the team by analyzing workflow and contributing to enable the team to be more effective, productive, and demonstrating faster and stronger results
  • Mentor and guide team members to success within the team
  • Collaborates with leadership across multiple teams to define solution requirements and implementation

  • 9+ years of hands-on expertise with application design, software development and automated testing
  • Proven hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring technologies, JBoss, XML, XPath, Web Services, REST services, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure, technologies, and components
  • Knowledge of Sabre APIs on how to perform multiple actions on a Sabre PNR. Understand of Sabre ENS platform is a plus.
  • Expertise in building highly scalable, fault tolerant and effective orchestrated APIs to accomplish a business function.
  • Testing and automation framework and tools: Junit, TestNG, Selenium, LISA virtualization/automation, mocking frameworks, Jasmine, Chai, Mocha
  • Good experience with Agile(Scrum), Rally, Jira, Confluence, Kanban
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + sales incentive + equity (if applicable) + benefits
