Our Wireless Technology organization is at the forefront of transforming connectivity for the future. We're pioneering the development of the nation's first virtualized, standalone 5G wireless network from the ground up. This network represents the cornerstone of a truly connected world, unbound by the constraints of the past and adaptable to meet the diverse and evolving needs of our rapidly changing society, economy and technology landscape.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Deploy and support 5G messaging and core network functions across a cutting edge cloud native standalone 5G SA network.
• Engage with vendor personnel at Nokia, Mavenir and Oracle to implement new services and features as well as upgrades.
• Ensure that solutions adhere to defined standards and best practices.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with strict deadlines, both as an individual contributor and team player.
• Participates in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing while staying abreast of new technology/technical areas.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or Electronics/Computer Engineering.
• 4-8 years of experience working within the Wireless industry on either the carrier or vendor side of the house.
• Experience in implementing, integrating, testing and deploying solutions in the 5G messaging domain.
• Hands-on experience on messsaging NFs design and implementation, incl how 5G differs in scope and technology from previous generations.
• Knowledge and/or documented work experience in messaging elements incl SMSC/MMSC/SMSF/VMAS/SMPPGW/MRF and other related NFs.
• Familiar with containers and relevant technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker or Openshift.
• Working knowledge of 3GPP 5G SA architecture.
  Familiar with DevOps and CI/CD methodology.
• Proven work experience in 5G / CUPS / LTE.
  Knowledge of Python scripting or any other scripting language (bash, Tcl).
• Knowledge of Protocol Analysis, Wireshark, NetScout, RADCOM or other similar tools.
• General understanding of standard telecom and networking protocols, components such as HTTPS, DNS, SRV6, TCP/IP, ICMP and load balancing.
• Self-starter, capable of working independently, innovative and eager to learn state-of-the art technologies.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
