As a member of the Customer Application Engineering team, you will be an active contributor to be the single point of contact for PTR products in our region.

Job Description

What you'll do

• Requires a strong technical knowledge of both Power Transformer and key elements of transformers along with an understanding and appreciation of protection systems, transformer specifications and tests and manufacturing process.
• Be responsible for driving all service engineering activities related to PTR products in MEA region.
• Be responsible for overall engineering activities at tendering (ITO) and project execution (OTR) stage based in region needs
• Be the single point of contact for PTR products in our region.
• Support Commercial teams in complex technical discussions with customer.
• Travelling to any country in MEA, to take the lead of PTR engineering activities
• Technical coordination with GE internal supplying units
• Study and understand customer RFQ and tender requirement
• Preparation of pre-bid clarifications
• Preparation of Division of Responsibility between all internal/external stake holders and customer.
• Validating the overall technical solution before client submission
• If requires perform Site visits for data collection
• Technical preparation & support in replying to customer comments on submitted design document
• Technical support to field service and site team during site works

• Bachelor's degree of Engineering, MBA is a plus
• Min 15 years' experience in Power Transformer industry engineering and technology
• Excellent knowledge of IEC and CIGRE guidelines
• Capable of structuring defendable arguments, evidence, assumptions and decisions for PTR failures
• Advanced English, Arabic would be an asset
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems
