As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will perform various roles including, but not limited to, research and design to support highly reliable and secure Linux based systems within XPO datacenters and in the public cloud. Help advance our DevOps culture as you install, configure and harden enterprise systems as well as their underlying physical server infrastructure. You'll conduct general systems monitoring and troubleshooting with the goal of quickly resolving systems' availability and performance issues.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Manage Linux servers hosted in private and public clouds while building upon standards and best-practices
• Define and execute processes for managing system lifecycle and enhancing system security using enterprise tools and automation
• Ensuring Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery SLAs are maintained for business-critical applications
• Provide technical leadership to operations teams
• Troubleshoot and assist in triaging performance issues in a highly virtualized infrastructure
• Participate in the evaluation of new technology solutions
• Perform software/hardware monitoring and maintenance including upgrades

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 3 years of experience in IT, preferably in mid to large enterprise environments with VMware experience
• High proficiency in one or more scripting languages/automation tools: Python, BASH, Ansible/AWX, PowerShell, YAML, Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, Zerto Virtual Replication for vSphere

It'd be great if you also have:

• 7 years IT experience, preferably in enterprise IT Infrastructure
• Linux certifications
• Experience in multi-site environment
• Experience in managing and delivering on multiple projects with competing time and resource requirements
• Experience with VMware, Google Cloud Platform, Rubrik, HPe Synergy
• SAN Storage Technologies - FC Fabric, use of snapshots, file protocols (NFS/SMB), Disaster Recovery processes and procedures
• Networking experience - load balancing, VLAN tagging, port channels, firewalls, routing
• Experience operating within IT Service Management (ITSM) and / or ITIL processes
