THE ROLE: Senior Engineer, Wireless

Presidio is looking for a Senior Wireless Engineer who is detail oriented with strong technical skills and experience and can work in a fast paced solution provider setting that requires a great deal of interaction among associates and executives. The individual must also have leadership qualities with strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of people. S/He must know the important elements in time management and prioritization in order to manage to multiple deadlines, have a great sense of detail while also be able to see the "big picture" and be able to multi-task and take initiative when needed. They need to manage the implementation of complex technical design and implementation of wireless solutions and other related technologies.

Travel Requirements:

In this role, you will be expected to travel out of area up to 50%. This role will be based in Raleigh, NC.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing customer site surveys using Presidio's preferred survey application, Ekahau Pro.
• Develop technical architecture on behalf of Presidio around our Mobility Practice solutions utilizing strategic vendor technologies.
• Stay current with mobility technology trends, customer use cases, and market demand to recommend and deliver relevant wireless solutions to align with customer business goals.
• Ensure compliance of company policies, procedures, and objectives regarding processes, initiatives, and projects.
• Lead engineer on customer project engagements including design, testing, implementation, and support for new deployments, expansions, and environment upgrades. This includes assessing and troubleshooting customer's wireless environments.
• Assist clients through planning, design and implementation of next-generation mobility solutions.
• Author technical deliverables including capacity planning, detailed design documents, test plans, implementation plans, and configurations.
• Develop comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation and effectively manage the implementation process from design to customer acceptance.
• Lead technical discussions to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Provides peer reviews of implementations, configurations, and documentation for team members.
• Assists other team members with deployment or best practices.
• Obtain vendor-related certifications to enhance professional development and partner fulfillment with our strategic vendors.
• Ability to track and enter time spent into required systems on a timely basis.

• Experience with a combination of Network Access Control (NAC) products:

• Experience with a combination of route/switch platforms:

• Arista


• Experience with a combination of Network Management (NMS) tools such as:


• Cisco Prime
• Cisco DNA Center
• Junos Space
• Aruba Central & Airwave
• SolarWinds


• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Ability to physically lift and install equipment.

Additional Desired Skills:

• Palo
• Networking

• Ability to operate a lift desired, but not required.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
• 4+ years experience withNetworking, Wireless, & Securityportfolio.
• 2+ years of consulting or pre-sales experience highly preferred.
• Experience with office productivity software and diagramming software such as Visio or Lucid chart.
• Solid interpersonal and presentation skills including client-facing consulting skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with designing with Ekahau Pro ideally in healthcare, manufacturing, and distribution environments.
• Experience with performing onsite wireless designs.
• Technical certifications strongly desired. Preferably Aruba, Ekahau, Cisco, Meraki, Juniper.
• Experience in networking and/or security strongly desired. Aruba, Palo Alto
