Position Overview : We are looking for a self-motivated and passionate Leader to join our Technology team as Engineering Manager. In this role you will lead an Engineering team responsible for end-to-end Technical solutioning of a business vertical. The role involves building next generation products used by our customers and architecting solutions to support our exponential business growth.

Competencies : Large Scale Distributed systems, Search (such as Elasticsearch), High scale messaging systems (such as Kafka), Real time Job Queues, High throughput and Low latency systems, Python, Golang, Django, Relational databases (such as PostgreSQL), data modeling, DB query Optimization, Caching, Redis, Celery, CI/CD, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker.

Responsibilities -

• Lead a team of passionate software engineers that prides itself on ownership and impact.
• Drive on-time, high quality product delivery. Drive adoption of engineering best practices.
• Help the organization scale and grow with the business - attract and grow the best talent.
• Empower engineers to take ownership of projects, guiding them from initial product requirements through to launch, benefiting all Spend Management customers.
• Maintain a relentless commitment to elevating engineering standards within both the team and the organization as a whole.
• Provide mentorship and opportunities for your team of engineers, nurturing their professional growth and success.
• Identify inefficiencies within the team and drive process and system enhancements that will support scaling the team.
• Develop and execute the technical roadmap to scale Level AI’s technology stack.
• Design and build highly scalable and low latency distributed systems to process large scale real time data.
• Drive best-in class engineering practices through the software development lifecycle.
• Drive operational excellence for critical services that need to have high uptime.
• Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders within and outside engineering to create technical plans to deliver on important business goals, and lead the execution of those.

Requirement -

• Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/PhD from tier 1/2 Engineering institutes with relevant work experience with a top technology company.
• Strong track record in architecture, design, development, testing and operations.
• 3+ years management experience.
• 10+ years of experience utilizing a modern backend programming language (e.g. Python, Django, NodeJS, Go) for APIs, batch jobs, etc.
• Hands on experience with large scale databases, high scale messaging systems and real time Job Queues.
• Experience navigating and understanding large scale systems and complex code-bases, and architectural patterns.
• Experience mentoring and providing technical leadership to other engineers in the team.




Nice to have:

• Experience with a frontend language/framework (e.g. React, JavaScript) and Infrastructure Experience.
• Experience with Google Cloud, Django, Postgres, Celery, Redis, Elastic, MongoDB, Kafka, or Snowflake.
• Some experience with AI Infrastructure and Operations.
